Professional Experience

Michael W. Nettles is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham with a Master of Arts degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Ministry from the Birmingham Theological Seminary. He also holds a Master of Theology degree from Freedom Bible College and Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry with a concentration in Christian Counseling Psychology.

He is a licensed and ordained minister and a Masters Level Addiction Counselor and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. He is currently a consultant and trainer for various organizations in the greater metropolitan areas of Washington, DC and serves as an evangelist and associate minister of Gospel Bible Missionary Baptist Church, located in Capital Heights Maryland.

­ Own functional accountability for maintaining and managing of 130 bed facility which included a 40 bed residential rehabilitation program and a 90 bed overnight shelter for men

­ Administer a 1.5 million dollar annual budget

­ Instrumental in hiring and supervision of staff and providing staff development training and staff evaluations

­ Directly supervise (1) clinical social worker, (1) administrative assistant, (2) custodians, (4) line supervisors
