Host a City Vision College Intern at Your Ministry
Internship Program Summary
City Vision College is the accredited Internet-based distance learning program of TechMission. Its mission is to provide practical online education to those involved in urban ministry.
The Internship Program provides full-time staff interns to urban ministries for up to one year. Interns take online courses from City Vision College during their time of service and can earn a degree or certificate or get transfer credit for qualifying schools.
City Vision College Provides:
- Online college courses for Interns at a 40% discount
- Primary national recruitment of interns
- Intern program structure and manual
- Bachelor degree completion program in Missions, Nonprofit Management or Addiction Studies or a certificate or transfer credits to other colleges and universities(up to 30 credit hours)
Ministry Site Provides:
- Room and Board to Intern
- $700 tuition fee per term to City Vision College (5 terms per year)
- Supervised Involvement in Ministry
- Secondary Recruitment of Interns
Benefits to the Student Intern
- Housing and meals provided by the sponsoring organization.
- An opportunity for a supervised hands on urban ministry experience.
- Paid tuition toward a bachelor degree or certificate from our accredited college or transfer credit to most colleges and universities.
- Because their tuition is paid, students who are eligible for the Pell grant may use the funds for other education-related purposes.
Steps to Partnering

- Site signs Memorandum of Understanding with TechMission/City Vision College (download the MOU form as a MS Word file)
- Site provides the college with a Job Description for Internship Positions
- Site recruits locally for position (City Vision College will recruit nationally)
- Site interviews & selects interns recommended by the college
- Site pays City Vision College $700/term for interns
- Interns take online courses through City Vision College while in ministry
- If sponsoring an international intern, the organization is responsible for filing for the H3 training visa on behalf of the intern with assistance from the college. (See PDF for instructions)
