Standards for Admission

Prospective City Vision College students must meet the following standards:

  • If the applicant has a background of substance abuse, a minimum of one year of sobriety is required before being accepted into the college.
  • High school graduate who is at least 18 years old. Students must present a high school transcript or diploma, GED certificate, or a transcript of previously completed college work, to verify high school graduation.
  • Able to complete college-level course work. This will be reflected in transcripts of prior academic experiences and by the recommendation of personal references.

In most cases, graduates of rescue mission residential programs should have at least one year of successful independent living outside of the mission before applying for enrollment in City Vision College.

Please note:  Although City Vision College courses are delivered totally over the Internet, in order to enroll, prospective students must be affiliated with a rescue mission that is a member of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions or another approved ministry. For those who are not current employees of a ministry, a full-time internship can be arranged.
