Urban Ministry Work Study Internships

City Vision Internships provide free tuition for a Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies, Nonprofit Management or Urban Missions as a part of working as an intern in an urban ministry.

All courses are taken online. Graduates of City Vision have had a 91% job placement rate.

Benefits to Interns

20 hours/week Internship

30-35 hours/week Internship

  • Free tuition in City Vision College for a full year of college paid by hosting ministry
  • Housing and meals are provided by hosting ministry (or a cash equivalent living stipend). Some sites may provide an additional stipend for outstanding candidates
  • Any Pell grant or other federal financial aid paid as cash payment to student (up to $5,550)

Internship Requirements

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • U.S. or Canadian citizen, U.S. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien.
  • Able to make at least a one year commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
  • Able to financially live on just free room and board (and any outside income sources you have)
  • Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
  • Additional requirements may vary by site
