Sexual Compulsives Anonymous

Sexual Compulsives Anonymous

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sexual Compulsives Anonymous (SCA) is a Twelve Step program for gay and bisexual sex addicts.[1]

SCA has written a questionarre used to screen potential new members. Interestingly, the results of this questionarre have been correlated with brain dysfunction in the prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain thought to be relevant to addiction (not only to substances, but also behaviors such as sex and gambling). Specifically, the results of the SCA Questionnaire correlate positively with the Frontal Systems Behavior Scale (FrSBe), which measures prefrontal dysfunction. [2]
