ORG440: Strategic Management (undergrad section of graduate course)

Course Description

In this course students will create a strategic plan for a nonprofit, for-profit or ministry organization, with a particular focus on nonprofits.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Conduct stakeholder analysis and collect and analyze feedback from stakeholders to inform strategic planning.
  2. Synthesize a biblical philosophy of ministry for your organization and use that to guide mission, values and all aspects of strategy.
  3. Analyze all the functional domains of an organization and synthesize into priorities in a strategic plan including: Accounting, Organizational/Human Resources/Board Development, Cross-Cultural Management, Social Entrepreneurship, Marketing/Fundraising and Christian Values Integration.
  4. Create a strategic plan for a nonprofit or ministry organization.

Prerequisites

This is an undergraduate section of an MBA course. Available to undergraduates with 90+ credits and a 3.0+ GPA.
